Tennis Rek (TR) is a tennis community from Surabaya that started during the pandemic in 2021. Growing from a hobby, Tennis Rek started with just 3 people and has grown to now have approximately 1000 active participants, and is affiliated with many national tennis communities in other cities in Indonesia.

The name “Tennis Rek” is taken from an invitation to play in the Suroboyoan language, to make it seem humble and persuasive by using the local dialect (Surabaya) which is spontaneous and straightforward.

Managing over 1000 participants in a community, Akronim re-creating a visual that feels more representative for Tennis Rek, which is a remarkable visual identity that is more modern, professional, and also have a dynamic look that inline with Tennis sport.
As a brand activation, Tennis Rek also release their own official merchandise, which is the jersey. We create the design that inspired from the motion of tennis ball movement. A subtle dynamic line, that developed into a pattern shape. We call this "Momentum in Motion".
